Description
Our ‘All Hope Abandon’ beanie was inspired by the song ‘The Navesink Banks’ by The Gaslight Anthem from the 2007 album ‘Sink or Swim’. And of course references to the 14th century where Dante enters through the gates of hell in the epic poem Divine Comedy by Italian writer Dante Alighieri’s. Dante passes through the gate of Hell, which bears an inscription ending with the famous phrase “Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch’intrate”, most frequently translated as “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.”
Luckily our doors are not a gate to hell, quiet the opposite… leaving The Village sometimes feels like passing through the gates of hell.
