Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Banko Gotiti

From: 12,00

Ethiopia is the land of bright, sweet and floral coffees which are delicious in filter, but when pulled as espresso all its qualities are magnified strongly, with skill and bravery you end up with an espresso thats like drinking straight lemonade. The smallholder farmers that delivered their cherries to the Banko Gotiti washing station have really delivered in a clean and juicy lot. We found citrus and mango with lovely florals throughout.

A note from our supplier, Nordic Approach:

This coffee has been processed at a washing station owned by Wete Ambela Coffee Export PLC. It is located in the Banko Gotiti Kebele, Gedeb Woreda, Yirgacheffe Zone.

The cherries are sourced from farms situated at altitudes of 1950 to 2100 metres above sea level, with each farm spanning 1 to 2 hectares. These farms collectively produce around 54 tons of coffee.

Cherries are handpicked and pulped to remove the mucilage. They are then soaked for 48 hours. The coffee is dried on African beds for 18 to 21 days.

Our coffee comes in craft paper bags which contain a plastic liner on the inside to guarantee freshness of our coffee. Please dispose properly at your local plastic trash container. The Village Coffee is roasted fresh every week, and best consumed within four weeks after roast date. Store your coffee in a dry, dark and cool place, avoid the fridge.
